Night Market Dungeon — Terms of Service & Privacy

1. Operator & contact

Operated by 玖悠谷國際企業社, a business registered in Taiwan. Support: kunoya.store@gmail.com. We reply within 3 business days (in English or Chinese).

2. Rating & prices

The game is rated 15+: cartoon pixel combat with blood effects (can be turned off in Settings) and some spooky floors. The game is free to play. Some outfits can be unlocked with Gold Lanterns. Everything you can buy is cosmetic only and never makes you stronger. There are no loot boxes, gacha or other randomized paid items: every item and its price are shown before you buy.

3. Virtual currencies

Night Coins are earned by playing, or converted from Gold Lanterns (1 Gold Lantern = 20 Night Coins, one way only). They live in your game save (this browser; backed up to the cloud if you have an account) and cannot be turned into Gold Lanterns or money. If you clear your browser data without a cloud backup, your Night Coins are lost with the save.

Gold Lanterns are bought with real money or given in events, and are stored on our server. They can only be used in this game to unlock outfits or convert to Night Coins. They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another account, or redeemed for physical goods.

4. Payments

Players on the English version pay in US dollars through PayPal; we never receive your card or bank details. Packs: US$2.99 = 90, US$4.99 = 160, US$9.99 = 330, US$29.99 = 1,100 Gold Lanterns. Your bank or PayPal may apply currency conversion fees. Players on the Chinese version pay in New Taiwan dollars through ECPay.

5. Refunds

Within 7 days of purchase, Gold Lanterns you have not used yet can be refunded in full, no reason needed. Gold Lanterns already used to unlock outfits or convert to Night Coins are digital content delivered at your request (we show the amount and ask you to confirm first), so they cannot be refunded. Double charges, payments that did not arrive, or losses caused by our bugs are always refunded or re-credited. To ask for a refund, email us with the first 8 characters of your account ID (Style Shop → Account) and your PayPal transaction ID. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

6. Accounts

You can play without an account. You can create a free game account (or sign in with Google) from “☁ Save” on the title menu; one is also created automatically the first time you buy. You get a recovery code: keep it private. Use it, or your linked Google account, to get your save back on a new device.

7. Minors

If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), ask a parent or guardian before buying Gold Lanterns.

8. Fair play

Cheats, modified clients, packet tampering or abusing bugs to get Gold Lanterns or outfits are not allowed. We may remove items obtained this way after notice; serious cases may lead to account suspension, with unused paid Gold Lanterns refunded pro rata.

9. Online play & chat

Co-op chat travels directly between players’ devices; our server does not see or store it. Chat with strangers is off by default. Links, contact details, long numbers, requests for personal info or meet-ups, trading and inappropriate content are blocked automatically on both sides. If you use “Report & block”, the other player’s last 10 messages and system ID are sent to our server and kept for 30 days for review.

10. AI characters

Boss Nightcat and the Manor residents are fictional characters voiced by AI (Cloudflare Workers AI). What you type (up to 80 characters) and basic game state (floor, HP, level, gear names) are sent to our server to generate a reply; we do not store the conversation or use it for training. Replies are automatic, for fun only, and may be wrong. The characters will always admit they are AI if you ask.

11. Privacy

Your progress is stored in your browser. If you create an account we store only: a random account ID, a hash of your recovery code, your Google account identifier (not your email, name or photo), your cloud save, your Gold Lantern and outfit records, and payment order records (PayPal order ID and amount — never card details). Leaderboards, player names and friends use your system ID, the name you choose (filtered for bad words), your level and scores. Feedback you send is stored with your level, game version and device type; emails and phone numbers in it are masked automatically. We use Google Analytics with cookies to count visits and clicks, with ad personalization turned off; you can block cookies in your browser. To delete your account, cloud save or feedback, send feedback (category “Other”) with the first 8 characters of your account ID; we delete it within 7 days. If you are in the EU/UK, you also have the rights of access, correction, deletion and objection under the GDPR — contact us at the email above.

12. Changes & termination

We announce changes on this page and in the game. If we ever stop selling Gold Lanterns or end the game, we will announce it at least 30 days in advance and refund unused paid Gold Lanterns pro rata on request.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. The Chinese version applies to players on the Chinese site; this English version applies to the English site.
